After visiting the Big Bear Valley for 21 years, we moved here permanently and opened two "Mom & Pop" businesses in 1991 & 1992. After fourteen years in business, we decided to change careers. Linda Reinik (Sales Associate)
Linda Reinik has been a resident of Big Bear Lake for 37 years. In 1976 she obtained her California real estate license. After leaving her 25 year career in banking, which included the position of Branch Manager at Federal Bank and a Vice President of First Mountain Bank, Linda decided to use her real estate license and joined husband Norm at Spencer Real Estate.
Linda is proud to have been a charter member and past president of Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley.
In 1984, the City of Big Bear Lake, established a Sister City relationship with Abtenau, Austria. In 1989, the Big Bear Lake City Council appointed Linda as Chairman of the Sister City Committee. She Has been responsible for over 100 Big Bear Valley youth people visiting Abtenau. She and Norm have traveled there many times and consider Abtenau to be their second home.
Linda has been a recipient of a so optimist Woman of Distinction award and has been named the Woman of the year by Kiwanis, primarily for her involvement with the Sister City Youth Exchange Program.
When not listing or selling properties in the Big Bear Valley, Linda can be found on a golf course or busy in her kitchen, (but, probably on the golf course!).
Besides her husband Norm, her daughters, Lorie & Sheryl, the love of her life is her miniature dachshund Eva.

Norm Reinik (Sales Associate)
Born and raised in Pennsylvania farm country. Eagle scout. High School Class President. Athlete ( soccer, basketball, baseball, wrestling). B.S in Civil Engineering, Lehigh Univ., 1961. Member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
Worked on construction of California Aqueduct for state of California. (DWR) , Dravo Corp., and J.F Shea Co. also on funnels in San Francisco and New Mexico. Lived in L.A., Palmdale, Bakersfield, San Bernardino, and a lot of hotel rooms during those years.
Armed with class A and B contractor’s licenses, moved to Big Bear in 1970. Built homes and commercial structures for 17 years. Worked in Management at Goldmine/Bear Mtn. Ski Area for 2 years. Realtor with Spencer RE since 1989.
Was active in the B.B Chamber of Commerce, and was “Assistant Burgermeister” of the B.B.L Oktoberfest in it’s early years. Married Linda in 1980, and was elected that same year, to the first Big Bear Lake City Council. Served 10 ½ , resigning in 1991 (never lost an election). Mayor in 1987-88. Originated the Big Bear Lake- Abtenau, Austria Sister City Youth Exchange Program, and ran it with wife Linda for 15 years. 10 year Rotarian.
Enjoy working around the house, traveling, World War II history, and trying to learn the German Language. Real passion is golf, member of the Apple Valley Country Club.
Was a Director of the Big Bear Association of Realtors for 9 years. Voted “Realtor of the Year” in 2003. Proficient in all forms of Big Bear real estate, particularly knowledgeable in the sale of commercial properties and businesses.
